states I know the Pris[one]r he keeps
a beer House at Blaina he is a Chartist a Chartist lodge was held at
his House I have a made me a member

I was taken to his House Saturday
Evening the 2nd Nov[embe]rInstant about
6 oclock. When I went there the
House was full of men. I was taken
there to pay 1o/- for a Pike by one
Isaac Tippins I saw the Prisoner
in the midst of the people he was
speaking a speech. I heard him
say that the Charter should be the
Law of the land or Blood would
be shed. The Prisoner spoke about
the number of Soldiers there were
in Wales He said If the Chartists
held together the Soldiers would
be nothing before them. He said
they were to meet next Evening
He would let them know
I did not get a Pike I enquired
of Tippins the reason He said
that the Pris[one]r told him it had
