knocking at the door & voices crying out open the door.
my Duffield called to me & told me to go down stairs
but I did not go I was so much afraid until they were.
I heard the door burst open & people in the house -
they remained about an hour & a half - when the
house became quiet again I went down stairs - they
were all gone except one man who sitting by the
fire & said he was very bad - I do not know the man
& shod not know him again there was no candle & the
fire was just out - The panel of the frontt door
was knocked in - Duffield called to me from up stairs
to see if there was any harm done & to go as far as the
Cellar door - I did and so & found it locked - I did not
look into the bar -- I had no candle- I then went to bed.
I got up again whilst it was getting light ( I was up
_________________rose about the same time
before Duffield & his Wife ^) and on going into the Bar
we found all the bottles & Jars containing liquors were
gone - only one empty Jar was left - A Saddle was
also stolen & a Gun - The gun was kept up stairs - I heard
