William Jones, Saddler, of this place will be
called for the Defence and if cross examined
will disclose some important facts - as he will
answer Every question honestly and truly - He
can give Evidence of prisoner having frequently
told him that he was a member of the Lodge
of Chartists at the Coach ____ I do not myself
believe that Davies rode down to Newport
as stated by Old [?] Harmer, as I cannot hear
the tittle of even a rumour of the Kind
among all the persons here, some of
whom are rather badly affected towards
the prisoner
