T. Llewellin Esq
John Morgan Prisoner
Thos Morgan Do. ____ In these Cases

The following witnesses are summoned to
attend at Newport to morrow - they have
been directed to come to you-

[lines 6-8 are divided with
a vertical line in two columns :
on the left side]

Richard Lewis, Waterloo [a]
[?] Hananiah Morgans, Havod yr ishclod [b]
Wm Jones __ __

[right column]
Thos Thomas Xpenmaine [c]
Joseph Lewis, Penrhiw [d]

Mr. Rogers had therefore better proceed to
take their Depositions as they come to you.

_John James of Court y bella [e] & }
_John Lewis Jones of Cumcorrug [f]} _have been
Summoned by Watts Instructions to go
down to morrow --

It is almost useless attempting to Examine the
witnesses up here, as one and all, they try to suppress
Everything - the only plan is to send them down
at once to Newport and they are then frightened
into it, when they get far Enough from home .

Reports are very rife here that there will
be another "Rising" and that the men meet
underground - the people here think there is
something in it and that some further mischief
is brewing __ Yours very faithfully Thos M Lewellin
