and John Llewelyn in the Chair - When I first
went in a Barber was adressing the Meeting
he had nearly concluded when I went in -
he concluded by saying that - "tho' he was a
young man he was an old republican -
and then called on the Chairman for some of
his good old fashioned doctrine for said
he "I like to to hear your good old fashioned sort"
Llewelyn then got up and adressed the Meeting
on the principles of the Charter - then a man
by the name of Alexander a Shoemaker from
Bristol then adressed them his speech and
conduct was so violent that I left the
Meeting - William Jones William Shellard
Godwin and many other well Known
Chartists were present".
