in all directions that the Artillery
had blockade the Town and
had killed a good many Men

Catherine Charles Daughter of

saith that I was at home
except I went to Chapel and returned
about 9 Oclock
All Sunday, I had heard a
Report that Men were
_______from the Hills to take
coming down ^ to Newport
Soon after I came home there
___________(Colliers)
were three Men^ who came
home in to dry themselves
I did not know either of
them they called for a Pint
of Beer About 3/4 of an hour
__________went
afterwards I was out at the
Door with one of the Men
who said they were coming
I saw lights coming down
the Tramroad I went down
