and I immediately replied
here Sir I am very glad to see
you for that I had been dragged
thro' the country by these men
(meaning those present and
who were armed / and requested
his interference to obtain my our
liberty (meaning myself and
Thomas Watkins) He expressed
his regret at our being
inconvenienced that I was
a very old friend of his x a very
good fellow but that he hated
or detested my Politics and
that we were either discharged
