John Harford I am a collier working at the
Rock Works, I attended a meeting at the Lodge
once on Sunday ev[enin]g the 3rd of No[vembe]r I was at home
and about 6 Oclock a mob came to my house
and forced me to go with them by threats,
I had a sword belonging to the Odd Fellows
Lodge
(I being an inside Tiler) which they
forced me to carry. I came on with them
until we reached the Welch Oak, when we
stopped for 2 or 3 hours, from thence we went to
the Cefn. where I had a pint of beer. a young
man whom I do not know came on horseback
& told the men that Mr Frost was waiting
for them in a lane adjoining. we then went
down I there saw Mr. Frost the man & asked Mr
F[rost] if they had better return, to which he
said no you had better not return but come
on to the Poor House, then they would take
